Legislators join fight for Silvercrest; closing process advances
Supporters said yesterday that they will continue fighting to keep the Silvercrest Children's Development Center in New Albany open, even as the state moves ahead with its plans to close it.
Rep. Bill Cochran, D-New Albany, said at a news conference that he intends to introduce amendments to legislation during the current session of the General Assembly directing that the center, which treats children with multiple disabilities, "stay open and funded.Click here for the full story!
